Summer Food Service Program

Free meals for kids aged 1-18. No income limit or registration required. Selover Library is a Summer Food Service Program site, with lunch sponsored by the Children's Hunger Alliance. 

Children are limited to one free lunch per day, whether they eat it at the library or take it home. Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like Selover Public Library to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. These meals are part of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), with lunch at Selover Library sponsored by the Children’s Hunger Alliance. USDA is an equal opportunity provider.

 

All children through age 18 are welcome to a free lunch at Selover Library on Thursdays and Fridays in June. Grab-N-Go meals are available beginning June 9. Children may attend our programs during lunch without receiving a meal.

  • Thursday, June 8, 15, 22 & 29, Noon-1 PM: Lunch ‘n Legos, where kids get inspired about a theme and then complete a build challenge afterward.

  • Friday, June 9 & 23, Noon-1 PM: Lunch ‘n Learn First Chapter Friday, where kids will enjoy listening to the first chapter of an amazing book while they eat lunch

  • Friday, June 16 & 30, Noon-1 PM: Lunch ‘n Learn Physics Phun, where kids will Enjoy lunch and then learn science concepts and do crazy experiments with Professor Mark!

Grab 'N Go lunches will be available June 9 - September 1. Children may take home up to five grab-and-go meals per visit.
