Cake Pans

Why buy a cake pan that you'll only use once when you can check it out from the library? You can check out a cake pan for 2 weeks. Cake pans must be returned clean inside the library, not in our drop box.

Favorite Things Collection

Reminiscence therapy is an activity which promotes the sharing of memories and the telling of stories. Favorite Things products help people connect to one another through the reminiscence of their own favorite things. Whether one-on-one or in a group setting, the ability to share life experiences and advice with others enhances our sense of worth and general well-being. 

Games / Puzzles

Have fun with your library card! You can check out games and puzzles for 2 weeks. 

Hotspots

Check out a T-Mobile WiFi hotspot with your library card if you have inadequate Internet access. You must be 18+ to check out a hotspot. You must check out and return hotspots inside the library, not in our drop box. There is a $1/day late fee.  Click here for the complete hotspot policy.

Kill-A-Watt Meter

Check out this easy-to-use meter that calculates electric usage of household appliances to help you understand and reduce your energy bill. You can check out this item for 2 weeks. 

Movie Pass

Check out a movie pass with your library card! The pass is for the Capitol Theatre in Mount Gilead and is good for up to 4 free movie tickets for one show the weekend after you check it out. Limit one movie pass checkout per calendar year per household, even if you don't end up using it. You must be ages 17+ to check out the movie pass.

Roku Express Device

Use the Roku Express Device to access Apple TV, MoviesAnywhere, and other free streaming services.

Science of Reading

The Science of Reading is an interdisciplinary body of research that explores how people learn to read and what methods are most effective in teaching reading. Selover Library now has the following resources available to help your child learn to read: Hooked on Phonics kits and Science of Reading kits. Each level of Hooked on Phonics aligns with a level of our Science of Reading kits, which contain games and activities that will help your child grow as a reader!
